Disaster Preparedness & Mitigation
The Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation component focuses on strengthening the
disaster preparedness capacities of vulnerable communities (men, women and youth)
in the project districts of LACIP by introducing a package of activities such as:
i) Raising community awareness on DPM
ii) Formation/training of Emergency Response Teams
iii)Systematic vulnerability assessments and iv) implementation of early warning
systems
